See THE GREEN INFERNO at AFI FEST 2013 on Friday, Nov. 8, in Los Angeles. One of five films in our Midnight Program, this film is Eli Roth’s ode to cannibal movies from the 1970s and ’80s.
My #LarryKingNow interview! So much fun.

Countdown to Halloween: Cabin Fever (2002)
Shooting began 12 years ago this week…
Beautiful. Love it! x
I am ridiculously happy with how this turned out. I like doing pieces like this, and have lately been inspired to do little crests/banner things for my favorite people. She here’s a design for Eli Roth.
Mr. Roth, if there’s any of my stuff you ever see, I hope this is it.
Will post to DeviantArt later. Don’t steal of use without permission and credit.
Another solid f’in horror/exploitation film! Throwback to the old disaster movies, with lots of action, gore and vile nastiness. Eli Roth is a producer and co-writer of this film and has a principal role, this however is not a traditional type horror film. In fact, its a true rarity: An indie disaster movie. Gringo, an American tourist, and his two Chilean friends meet three beautiful female tourists at a nightclub in Chile. After the area is devastated by an earthquake, all hell breaks loose, and they must struggle to survive. Complicating matters are violent prisoners that have been set free by the earthquake and an incoming tsunami. The prisoners also have a taste for raping, defenseless white women.
The movie is lively, funny, well acted and, once the action begins, fast-paced and exciting. Being that I love traveling, I really dug that this film takes place in another country and is about traveling/backpacking in Chile. It takes a while for the action and plot to unfold, but if you don’t have AD/HD and/or you’re not a horror movie hipster, you should dig this. I loved the ending… and as it drew near I already knew I liked this film, but for me to love it I was hoping that it would end in the fucked up way I would end it, and guess what? It ended exactly that way! And then I was in love with it! If you like dark and soulless films, this is for you. Once that earthquake strikes the movie quickly devolves into some real nastiness. It has a grindhouse feel to it, dark and gritty. Viewers with weak stomachs, avoid this like the plague.
Love that people are discovering @NicolasLopez’ #Aftershock on @Netflix. It was a hard shoot but we had fun making it.
One last scream at the Goretorium
It is with a heavy, bloodied heart that I’m sad to announce that the Goretorium will be closing our doors after Wednesday night. I wish we could stay open through Halloween - we all do - but these are decisions beyond our control. (We’re actually the second haunted house to shut down today, along with that white one in D.C.) I am so thankful to have had the chance to build the haunted house of my nightmares, which many called the scariest they had ever been through. Ultimately, however, for a variety of reasons, the business was not sustainable as a year-round event.
I want to personally thank everyone who visited us, and to thank all the incredible artists and performers who gave it their all to give an amazing show night after night. Also a huge thank you to the superb technical staff, from the lighting and sound to our social media team. To all the couples who were married in our Chap-Hell, I wish you a lifetime of happiness & horror films together, it was an honor to be a part of your story.
I’m flying to Vegas tonight for one final scream, so please join if you’re in town. Tonight and tomorrow we have $10 haunts and $2 drinks so we can all have fun and blow it out in style. I am so proud of what we accomplished, I just wish it could have stayed around longer, but like any great monster in a horror film I’m sure we’ll pop up again in one form or another.
Thank you, most of all, to Las Vegas for welcoming us and giving a new business a chance. It was a wonderful experience start to finish, but like my favorite horror movies, did not have a happy ending. Hope to see you all tonight!
Here are some incredible memories from the past year…
